Bradford Rotary Continues Tradition with Spring Highway Clean-Up

The Rotary Club of Bradford held its biannual Adopt-A-Highway clean-up last week, covering its designated stretch of roadway from the New York state line to Bolivar Drive.
With a strong turnout that included both Rotarians and students from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Rotaract Club, volunteers spent the evening collecting litter and helping improve the appearance and safety of one of the main gateways into the Bradford area.
The clean-up took place during the week of Earth Day, which added extra meaning to the effort. Earth Day serves as a reminder of the importance of environmental stewardship, something Rotary clubs around the world emphasize through local service projects like roadway clean-ups, community beautification, and sustainability efforts.
The Bradford Rotary Club participates in the Adopt-A-Highway program twice each year, maintaining its stretch of road from the state line to Bolivar Drive. These efforts not only help keep the area clean but also promote community pride and set an example for others to get involved.
