4/21/2026 Vehicle Pursuit/Aggravated DWI Arrest
On April 21, 2026 at 5:00 AM Norma J. Harrison, 46, of Cold Spring was arrested, following an attempted traffic stop in the City of Salamanca, by deputies of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office assigned to the Seneca Nation Allegany Territory. Harrison was subject to a traffic stop when she led deputies on a pursuit that eventually concluded in the Town of Cold Spring. Further investigation led to Harrison being charged with Aggravated DWI along with multiple traffic citations. Harrison was issued an appearance ticket, due back in court at a later date.
4/17/2026 Traffic Stop/Drug Arrest
On April 17, 2026, at approximately 8:20 pm, Joelle E. Cooper, 38, of Salamanca NY was taken into custody by deputies of the Cattaraugus County Sheriffs Office assigned to the Seneca Nation Allegany Territory. Cooper was the passenger of a vehicle that was subject to a traffic stop on Wildwood Ave in the City of Salamanca. Following an investigation Cooper was found to be in possession of suspected fentanyl, a quantity of suspected methamphetamine, a quantity of suspected crack cocaine, a scale, $700.00, and other drug paraphernalia. Cooper was transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriffs Office for processing. Cooper was processed and released on an appearance ticket for the following charges: Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree, Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree (2 counts), and Obstruction 2nd Degree. Cooper is due in the City of Salamanca Court at a later date for further proceedings. K9 Cash assisted with this investigation.
4/18/2026 Traffic Stop/Drug Arrest
On April 18, 2026 at approximately 11:05pm, Brianne Hatch (38) and Beth Ray (43) both of Allegany were arrested following a traffic stop in the City of Olean. Following a search of the vehicle, suspected cocaine and fentanyl were located in the vehicle. Brianne and Beth were taken into custody and transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office Olean Substation for processing. Both parties were released with appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in Olean City Court at a later date.
4/18/2026 Assault Arrest
On April 18, 2026, at approximately 1955 hours, Kristen D. Peterson, 37, of Jamestown NY, was taken into custody by deputies of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office assigned to the Seneca Nation Allegany Territory. At approximately 2001 hours, Shelby K. Loucks, 31, of Coldspring, and a juvenile were also taken into custody. Peterson, Loucks, and the juvenile, were subjects of an assault that occurred at an address on Central Rd. in the Town of Coldspring in the early morning hours of April 18th, 2026 causing physical injury to the victim. Peterson, Loucks, and the Juvenile were all located at the same address on Central Rd. in the Town of Coldspring. All three parties were transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriffs Office for processing on the following charges: Assault 3rd Degree and Strangulation 2nd Degree. The juvenile was processed and released on an appearance ticket for Cattaraugus County Youth Part of Superior Court. Loucks and Peterson were processed and then transported to the Town of Randolph Court for an arraignment. Loucks and Peterson were both remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail with bail set. Loucks and Peterson are both due in the Town of Coldspring Court at a later date for further proceedings.
