5/10/2026 Unlawful Possession of Identification Info
On May 10, 2026 at 2:20 pm, Sherlock was taken into custody after an investigation of Unlawful Possession of Personal Identification Information. In April 2026, while being processed into the Cattaraugus County Jail, Sherlock was found to be in possession of numerous debit cards and a social security card belonging to others. Sherlock was processed without incident and issued an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Little Valley Local Criminal Court at a later date.
5/8/2026 Traffic Stop/DWAI and Drug Arrest
On May 8, 2206, at approximately 10:23 pm, Joseph J. Orris, 39, of Bradford PA, was taken into custody by deputies of the Cattaraugus County Sheriffs Office assigned to the Seneca Nation Allegany Territory. Orris was the subject of a traffic stop on Route 219 in the Town of Carrollton for a vehicle and traffic law infraction. Following an investigation Orris was found to be in possession of a quantity of suspected crack cocaine and was also found to be driving while ability impaired by drugs. Orris was transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriffs Office Olean Substation for a DRE Evaluation and processing. Orris was processed and released on an appearance ticket and multiple uniform traffic tickets for the following charges: Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Resisting Arrest, Obstruction 2nd Degree, Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, and Speed in Zone. Orris is due in the Town of Carrollton Court at a later date for further proceedings.

On May 8, 2026 at 8:05 pm, Cheryl M. Collins, of Allegany, NY, was arrested for petit larceny following a shoplifting complaint at Walmart Supercenter. Collins was processed at the Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office substation and released with an appearance ticket to return to the Allegany Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.

On May 10, 2026 at 6:33 pm, Rustin A. Lippincott, 47, of Bradford, PA, turned himself in to deputies following a dispute that had occurred on 4/16/2026 in the Town of Allegany. Lippincott was charged with Trespass and Criminal Mischief in the 2nd Degree. Lippincott was processed and released with an appearance ticket. Lippincott is to appear at Allegany Town Court at a later date.
5/7/2026 Warrant Arrest
On 5/7/2026 at 8:00 pm, Zackry Sawyer, 28, currently in custody in the Cattaraugus County Jail, was arrested on an arrest warrant out of the the Cattaraugus County Court. He was processed and returned to the jail.
5/6/2026 Drug Arrest
On May 6, 2026 at 10:30 pm, Kenneth J. Grainer, 31, of Little Valley NY, was taken into custody by deputies of the Cattaraugus County Sheriffs Office assigned to the Seneca Nation Allegany Territory. Grainer was the subject of a suspicious person call for service on Center St. Ext. in the Town of Salamanca. During the investigation it was found that Grainer had an active warrant out of Cheektowaga Police Department. Grainer was also found to be in possession of a quantity of suspected crack cocaine, suspected fentanyl, suspected Diazepam, packaging material, and other miscellaneous paraphernalia. Grainer was transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriffs Office for processing. Grainer was processed and issued an appearance ticket and uniform traffic ticket for the following charges: Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree (2 counts), Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st Degree. Grainer is due in the Town of Salamanca Court at a later date. Grainer was then turned over to the custody of Cheektowaga Police Department.
