5/21/2026 Criminal Contempt Arrest

On May 21st, 2026, at 8:07 pm, Kevin M. Stafford Jr, 34, of Great Valley NY, was taken into custody by deputies of the Cattaraugus County Sheriffs Office assigned to the Seneca Nation Allegany Territory. Stafford Jr. was located at an address on Old Route 17 in the Town of Coldspring, an address of which he was advised to stay away from through an order of protection, with occupants he was also advised to stay away from through the same order of protection. Stafford Jr. was transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriffs Office for processing. Stafford Jr. was processed on the following charges: Criminal Contempt in the First Degree (2 counts) and Aggravated Family Offense. Stafford Jr. was transported to the Town of Ellicottville Court for an arraignment. Stafford Jr. was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail with bail set at $25,000 cash/$50,000 bond. Stafford is due in the Town of Coldspring Court at a later date for further proceedings.

5/20/2026 Blotter

On May 20, 2026 at 3:35 pm, Austin K. Menter, 19, of Olean, NY, was taken into custody after being located on walking N 3rd St in the City of Olean. Menter attempted to evade patrol on foot but was quickly apprehended by patrol. Menter had an active bench warrant out of Olean City Court. Menter was transported by deputies to the Olean Police Department, where he was processed, and then transported to the Cattaraugus County Jail.

5/14-5/17/2026 Blotter

On May 14th, 2026, at approximately 2346 hours, Christopher A. Norton, 41, of Great Valley NY was taken into custody by deputies of the Cattaraugus County Sheriffs Office assigned to the Seneca Nation Allegany Territory. Norton was found to have a full extradition warrant out of Pennsylvania State Police and was located at his residence. Norton was transported to the Town of Little Valley Court for an arraignment. Norton was arraigned and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail.
On May 14, 2026 at 2:30 pm, Alex Knoxsah was taken into custody on an active Bench warrant issued out of Cheektowaga Police Dept. Ms. Knoxsah was turned over to Cheektowaga Police without incident for further processing and arraignment.

On May 17, 2026 at 3:51 pm, James A. Walton, 29, of Hinsdale, NY, was taken into custody after being located walking on Rt. 417 in the Town of Allegany. Walton had multiple active bench warrants out of Hinsdale Town Court and New York State Police Olean. Walton was transported to Hinsdale Town Court for arraignment where he was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail.

5/16/2026 DWI Accident Arrest

On May 16th, 2026, at approximately 1701 hours, Jaymie M. Ferrara, 68, of Frewsburg NY, was taken into custody by deputies of the Cattaraugus County Sheriffs Office assigned to the Seneca Nation Allegany Territory. Ferrara was the operator of a motor vehicle that was involved in a property damage motor vehicle accident on Bone Run Rd. in the Town of South Valley. Following an investigation Ferrara was found to be Driving While Intoxicated. Ferrara was transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriffs Office for processing and a chemical test. Ferrara was processed and released on an appearance ticket and multiple uniform traffic tickets for the following charges: Aggravated DWI, Driving While Intoxicated, Driving a Motor Vehicle with 0.08 of 1% or more Alcohol in Blood, Speed Not Reasonable or Prudent, Move from Lane Unsafely, and Failure to Keep Right. Ferrara is due in the Town of South Valley Court at a later date for further proceedings.

On May 11th, 2026, at approximately, 2308 hours, Cody J. Grucza, 35, of Grand Island NY, was taken into custody. Grucza was turned over to the Cattaraugus County Sheriffs Office from Lancaster Police Department. Grucza had an active arrest warrant issued out of the Town of Ashford Court. Grucza was transported to the Town of Ashford Court for an arraignment. Grucza was released on his own recognizance and is due back in the Town of Ashford Court at a later date.
