All city ambulances are currently committed on calls. One ambulance is on its way back from OGH, two others are transporting to the hospital. All off duty personnel have been ordered to Central Fire Station.

In an unrelated incident, a patient experiencing difficulty breathing waited over 30 minutes, by choice, for EMS to respond. This delay was due to the patient's preferred hospital and the unavailability of emergency services, which were occupied with other calls. This situation underscores the challenges posed by extended travel times to the only ERs in our area, further straining our already limited and essential medical services.
This is a very disturbing and critical problem for area residents, as it directly impacts their access to timely and potentially life-saving care.
