Francis Strikesouts 13, including 100th Career K, in Otto-Eldred Win; NoPo, Jburg Get Offensive in Victory; D9 Recaps

Striking out the side in the first inning, Otto-Eldred Baylee Francis recorded her 100th career strikeout in the Lady Terrors’ 9-2 win over visiting Smethport.


Francis, a sophomore, came into the game at 97 punchout and recorded 13 on the day to give her 110 in her career. She allowed two earned runs on six hits and three walks in seven innings of work.


Also strong at the plate, Francis went 2-for-2 with a double, a triple, two walks, three runs scored, and three RIs.

Grace Rositzke also drove in three runs for O-E, while Jahden Smith was 1-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored. Emily Rounsville walked three times and scored twice, and Kenyan Kellog was 2-for-4.


NORTHERN POTTER 12, COUDERSPORT 1, 5 INNINGS


Kayla Hyde and Miranda Jacoby combined on a four-hitter, as Northern Potter beat visiting Coudersport, 12-1, in five innings.


Hyde got the win, going four innings, allowing an unearned run on four hits while striking out five.
