Keeping Neighborhoods Safe with Multiple Gun Arrests
On May 7, 2026, Troop A- Community Stabilization Unit arrested Kesean J. Fields, 23 of Buffalo, NY for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th- A Misdemeanor (3 Counts), Criminal Possession of a Firearm- E Felony (3 Counts), Criminal Possession Stolen Property 4th -Firearms- E Felony, Criminal Possession Weapon 3rd – Ammunition Feeding Device D- Felony (4 counts) and Criminal Sale of Firearm 3RD – Possess with intent to sell (D Felony).
On April 28, 2026, Troop A- Community Stabilization Unit executed a search warrant in the city of Buffalo. During that search warrant a suspect was arrested and evidence of an illegal gun sale was linked to another possible suspect later identified as Fields.
On May 7, 2026, Troop A- Community Stabilization Unit, Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team (VGNET), Buffalo Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) executed a search warrant on Reed Street in the city of Buffalo. The target in the investigation, Fields was detained in the residence during the search warrant execution. Investigation determined that Fields possessed a stolen Taurus 9mm with an extended magazine, stolen out of the town of Fairburn, Georgia. Two additional firearms were seized, a Sig Sauer 9mm with 3 extended magazines and a Ruger .22 wrangler.
Fields was processed at SP Buffalo and transported to Buffalo PD Lockup for Centralized Arraignment.
