Oswayo Valley High School Graduation Ceremony was Held Friday, May 29th

The 119th commencement of the Oswayo Valley High School was held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in the high school gymnasium. This year we were happy to graduate twenty-six seniors.


The presentation of medals was made by Superintendent, Mr. Glenn Smith, Jr. The Welcome Address was presented by Trevor Miller, the recipient of the Third Honors Award. He is the son of Kenneth and Kari Miller of Shinglehouse, PA. Mr. Miller will attend St. Bonaventure University and major in Biology.


The Commencement Address was given by Lucas Dickerson, class valedictorian, son of Dennis and Bethanie Dickerson of Shinglehouse, PA. Mr. Dickerson will attend the Rochester Institute of Technology and major in Game Design and Development.


Also giving a Commencement Address was class salutatorian, Mia Shaffer, daughter of Chad and Valerie Shaffer of Shinglehouse, PA. Miss Shaffer will attend Houghton University and major in Psychology.


The presentation of the class was given by Principal, Mr. Erich Zaun, and diplomas were given to the students by the Superintendent, Mr. Glenn Smith, Board of Education President, Ms. Kimberley Voorhees, and Board of Education Member Mrs. Patricia Colbey. Closing remarks were given by KayLynn George, Class President.


Music was provided by Mrs. Natalie Seely. Awards and scholarships were announced by Erich Zaun, School Principal. Over $225,000 in scholarships sponsored by local organizations were made available to Oswayo Valley

graduates.
