PennDOT Accepting Applications for Winter, Seasonal Employment Positions

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is currently accepting applications for its Winter Maintenance Program in the northwestern region.


PennDOT District 1, which serves Crawford, Erie, Forest, Mercer, Venango, and Warren counties, is offering opportunities for CDL Operators, Mechanics, Clerical Dispatchers, Semi-Skilled Laborers, and Tradesman Helpers in the Seasonal Winter Maintenance Program for the 2026–2027 season (September to April).


Whether you are looking for extra income during the winter months or exploring a path toward a future permanent role, PennDOT offers meaningful opportunities to serve communities across Pennsylvania. Positions are filled based on operational needs, so availability may differ by county.
