PennDOT Announces Pipe Replacement in Fox Township, Elk County

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a pipe replacement will begin on Tuesday, August 11, in Fox Township, Elk County. Completing this pipe replacement will prepare the road for future surface improvements.

Route 948 (Fairview Road) will have daytime only closure in place for the duration of the pipe replacement to minimize traffic disruption. The road will only be closed while work is occurring. A detour using Route 255 and Route 2007 (Old Kersey Road) will be in place during construction, which PennDOT expects to take two days. All construction work is subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

PennDOT Elk County Maintenance Crews will perform all work associated with this project.
