Punxsy Man Accused of Calling 911 to Complain About Text Messages

A local man faces charges after authorities say he misused the emergency 911 system to request updates on police investigations and complain about personal text messages.
Court dockets filed on May 1 by the Punxsutawney Borough Police Department indicate 53-year-old Curtis Lee Watson, of Punxsutawney, is charged with the following offenses:
Communications with 911, Misdemeanor 2
Disorderly Conduct; Engage in Fighting, Misdemeanor 3
According to a criminal complaint, a Punxsutawney Borough Police Officer responded to the area of a local bar at 6:02 a.m. on April 28. The officer reportedly met Watson in a parking lot on West Mahoning Street.
The complaint states that Watson was agitated and said someone was texting him and sending him videos. Watson asked for progress reports on a separate police incident, the complaint notes. Watson allegedly expressed frustration that police were not doing enough.
Police say Watson claimed a woman who was texting him was selling drugs, the complaint continues.
