The Homeland Security class visited the Mansfield Police Academy and the Tioga County Dispatch Center on October 14, 2026. The visit to the Mansfield Police Academy gave students an opportunity to experience the training environment, explore the tools and equipment used by the academy, and gain a better understanding of the expectations and challenges faced by today’s police cadets.

At the Tioga County Dispatch Center, students observed how emergency calls are received and dispatched to responding units. They also received a presentation on the technology used to monitor and coordinate emergency personnel, gaining a greater appreciation for the critical role dispatchers play in communication, coordination, and public safety.
