Taylor Knowles’s Big Day Propels Northern Potter Varsity Panthers Past Cameron County

Taylor Knowles drove in five runs on one hit to lead Northern Potter Varsity Panthers past Cameron County 15-0 on Tuesday. Knowles hit a grand slam to center field in the second inning, scoring four runs, and hit a sacrifice fly in the first inning, scoring one.
Northern Potter Varsity Panthers scored eight runs in the second inning on the way to victory. Knowles hit a grand slam to center field, Maddie Palmatier drew a walk, scoring one run, Natala Simonetti singled, scoring two runs, and Riley Knowles singled, scoring one run.
Northern Potter Varsity Panthers got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Cameron County committed an error, Knowles hit a sacrifice fly, and Brooke Lane singled to the left side of the infield, each scoring one run.
Northern Potter Varsity Panthers added one run in the third after Miranda Jacoby doubled down the left field line.
Jacoby began the game for Northern Potter Varsity Panthers. The hurler allowed zero hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out four and walking none. C Grovanz stepped in the circle first for Cameron County. The hurler gave up seven hits and 11 runs (eight earned) over two innings, striking out two and walking four.
Lane went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Northern Potter Varsity Panthers in hits. Northern Potter Varsity Panthers had a strong eye at the plate, collecting 10 walks for the game. Jacoby and Palmatier led the team with two walks each. Serenity Risser and Lane each stole multiple bases for Northern Potter Varsity Panthers. Northern Potter Varsity Panthers stole 11 bases in the game. Northern Potter Varsity Panthers were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Jacoby had the most chances in the field with four.
Northern Potter Varsity Panthers will travel to Cowanesque Valley Varsity Indians for their next game on Friday.
