Troopers involved in multiple pursuits with juvenile arrests over the weekend

From April 17th to April 18, 2026, Troopers out of SP Clarence were involved in three stolen vehicle pursuits with a total of 10 juvenile arrests. Multiple charges include Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property.


All suspects were processed and issued appearance tickets.


The New York State Police pursuit policy integrates both public safety and officer safety concerns with the duty to enforce the law. The decision to continue a pursuit, the protections and safety of the public, occupants of the pursued vehicle and the pursuing police officer must be weighed against the dangers involved.
