5/11/2026 Search Warrant/Drug Arrest
On May 11, 2026 at 3:10 pm, members of the Southern Tier Regional Task Force executed a search warrant at 32 South Main St. in the Village of Portville. Task force members were assisted by the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team, Cattaraugus County Detective Bureau, Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division and Portville Police Department. Investigation into the residence revealed the residence was being used for the sale of illegal narcotics. Upon execution of the search warrant a quantity of suspected crack cocaine, paraphernalia, and approximately two ounces of crystal methamphetamine were found. Richard Wall, 56 of Portville NY was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd degree, and Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree. Wall was arraigned in the Town of Portville Court and is being held without bail.
5/10/2026 Trespass/Criminal Mischief Arrest
On May 10, 2026 at 6:33 pm, Rustin A. Lippincott, 47, of Bradford, PA, turned himself in to deputies following a dispute that had occurred on 4/16/2026 in the Town of Allegany. Lippincott was charged with Trespass and Criminal Mischief in the 2nd Degree. Lippincott was processed and released with an appearance ticket. Lippincott is to appear at Allegany Town Court at a later date.
5/11/2026 Warrant/Resisting Arrest
On May 11, 2026 at 5:48 pm, Joshua R. Pettygrove, 37, of Olean, NY, was taken into custody after being located walking on the 200 block of N 15th St in the City of Olean. Pettygrove attempted to evade patrol on foot but was quickly apprehended by deputies. Pettygrove had multiple felony warrants out of Cattaraugus County Court. Pettygrove was additionally charged with Resisting Arrest and Obstruction of Governmental Administration in the 2nd Degree upon apprehension. Pettygrove was processed and then transported directly to the Cattaraugus County Jail, where he will be held, awaiting further court proceedings. Pettygrove will appear in Olean City Court at a later date for the aforementioned additional charges.
