DA’s Office Launches Cold Case Unit for Warren County

The Warren County District Attorney’s Office has launched a multi-agency cold case unit to reexamine older investigations, with several cases already under active review and new technology offering the potential for breakthroughs.
Warren County District Attorney Cody Brown said the unit is currently focused on “5 or 6” cases submitted by departments across the county, including missing persons and suspicious or undetermined deaths.
“We opened it up to all the different police departments, asking if they’ve had any cases that are older or deaths that were kind of suspicious (or) unable to really determine what happened,” Brown said. “We have, I believe, it’s 5 or 6 right now that we’re looking hard into.”
