On May 29, 2026, at approximately 8:18 p.m., the City of Bradford Fire Department and City of Bradford Police Department responded to 33 Miller Street for a report of an approximately 70-year-old male who had fallen into the creek behind the residence.

Upon arrival, emergency responders located the male unconscious at the bottom of the flood control wall after an estimated fall of more than 20 feet into the creek area. Due to the difficult terrain and location of the victim, members of the City of Bradford Fire Department conducted a careful and coordinated rescue operation to safely extricate him from the creek bed.

Following the rescue, the victim was treated at the scene by emergency medical personnel and subsequently airlifted to a regional trauma center for further medical treatment.

The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation by the City of Bradford Police Department. No additional information is being released at this time.

The City of Bradford Police Department would like to commend the City of Bradford Fire Department and all responding emergency personnel for their professionalism and teamwork during this challenging rescue operation.
