GASD Holds 2026 Sports Banquet

The Galeton Area School District celebrated the accomplishments of its student-athletes during the annual All Sports Banquet held on Thursday, May 21, 2026. Athletes, families, coaches, and community members gathered for an evening of recognition and celebration of the 2025-26 athletic year. 


Special awards presented during the evening included the Martin Burton Memorial Hustler Award, the PIAA Sportsmanship Award, and the PIAA Outstanding Athlete Award.


Recipients of the Martin Burton Memorial Hustler Award were David Martin and Karleigh Smith. The PIAA Sportsmanship Awards were presented to Isaac Miller and Tegan Bronkoski. The PIAA Outstanding Athlete Awards were awarded to Luke Knisely and Makenna Schott.


The evening served as a celebration of teamwork, dedication, and school pride while honoring the accomplishments of Galeton’s student-athletes throughout the school year.


All student-athletes were recognized during the banquet and presented with participation certificates for their dedication and commitment throughout the year. Seniors who participated in athletics for four years were also honored with a commemorative plaque and an engraved mug in recognition of their achievements and involvement in Galeton athletics.
