Trailing by 14 going to the fourth quarter, Port Allegany rallied to beat Bishop McCort, 67-64, in the PIAA Class 2A first round at McCort to claim the school’s first-ever PIAA boys’ basketball victory.
“We basically went 55, we put on our full-court press,” Port Allegany head coach Kyle Babcock said in a phone interview with the YDL Sports Network. “We forced some turnovers and knocked down a couple of threes in the fourth quarter. We really just got after it and started hustling. We went inside and got some and-ones. Really, the difference was our full-court, man-to-man press.”
