Georgia A. WATSON, 71, of Belmont, NY

Georgia A. WATSON, 71, of Belmont, NY, died Thursday, October 22, 2026, in Hart Comfort House of Allegany County.  Born June 26, 1955, in Wellsville, she was the daughter of George and Leona Kelly Scott. 

A graduate of Belmont Central School, she worked as a hairdresser for many years and was employed as a bartender at the Belmont American Legion and most recently the Wellsville Elks Club.  Georgia was a member of the Belmont American Legion Auxiliary and the Wellsville Elks Club.  

Surviving are: two children, Leslie (Randy) Keesler and Jeff (Martha) Mapes, both of Belmont; three grandchildren, Brock (Caroline) Mapes, Landon (Nick Sanders) Mapes, and Sydney (Mac Maley) Keesler; her companion, Joe Racalto of Hornell; nieces and nephews, Brent Platt, Tracy Platt, Alisha Sands, Richard Whitney, and Rhonda Smyers.  

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Brian Mapes; and two sisters, Janet Whitney and Jane Hurd.  Per Georgia’s wishes, there will be no services.  

Memorials may be made to Hart Comfort House of Allegany County.
