On July 16th, at about 2:03 PM, Narcotics Detectives from JPD and Narcotics Investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Department executed a search warrant at 63 W. 14th Street in the City of Jamestown. Prior to the execution of the search warrant, the target of the investigation, Dasai K. Bradberry was observed leaving the residence in a vehicle. Jamestown Police Department road patrol was able to execute a traffic stop on the vehicle on N. Main Street near West Oak Hill where Bradberry fled on foot, jumping the fence of the Lakeview Cemetery, while discarding a large quantity of methamphetamine and fentanyl. Officers and Detectives were able to recover 104.6 grams of methamphetamine and 10.9 grams of fentanyl that Bradberry attempted to destroy. Bradberry was taken into custody. Once the residence on W. 14th Street was secured, Detectives located two 9 mm "ghost guns," digital scales, packaging materials, cutting agents and a quantity of US Currency. Bradberry was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree, 3rd Degree, and 4th Degree, three counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree, Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd Degree, Resisting Arrest and Tampering with Physical Evidence. Bradberry was also wanted on a federal warrant for weapons and narcotics trafficking.
On July 17th, around 5:40 AM, officers responded to an accident on the east side of the city. Further investigation determined the operator, Justice McBride, was driving while under the influence of drugs. McBride was charged with DWAI Drugs, Moved from Lane Unsafely, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation.
On July 19th, at approximately 1:40 PM, officers were patrolling on the south side of the city when they observed a motorcycle traveling at a speed greater than 25 mph over the posted 30 mph speed limit. Officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop; however, the operator, later identified as Gregg W. Morrison, a 48-year-old resident of Mayville, NY, refused to stop and fled at a high rate of speed. After a brief pursuit, Morrison pulled into the driveway of a residence, concealed the motorcycle inside the garage, and attempted to evade officers. Morrison was located at the residence and taken into custody. Subsequent investigation revealed that Morrison was operating the motorcycle while his driving privileges were revoked and that the motorcylce had switched license plates. Officers also conducted standardized field sobriety tests with Morrison once at the city jail. Based on the results of those tests, it was determined that Morrison was operating the motorcycle while intoxicated. Morrison was charged with Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle 3rd Degree, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st Degree (Felony), Driving While Intoxicated Per Se (.08% BAC or Greater) with Two Previous Convictions (Felony), Speed in Zone, Reckless Driving, and multiple additional New York State Uniform Traffic Tickets.
On July 20th, around 4:00 PM, officers responded to 7 S. Main Street otherwise known as "Riverwalk" for an assault complaint. Through investigation it was discovered that Shaun P. Clutter assaulted a victim that was sitting in the area by punching him, choking him, and cutting him with a knife causing a laceration all while stealing his property. Officer's located Shaun in the area and placed him into custody without incident. A search of Shaun found to him to be in possession of the victim's property that was reported stolen. Clutter was charged with Robbery 1st Degree, Assault 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree, Menacing 2nd Degree, Criminal Obstruction of Breathing or Blood Circulation, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th Degree.
On July 22nd, around 12:30 AM, officers were on patrol on the city's East side. Officers observed Nicole L. Hixson walking in the area. It was known to officers that Nicole had active bench warrants. Officers conducted a street check and informed Nicole she and active warrants. At this point, Nicole began to flee on foot. Nicole was taken into custody for the active bench warrants and was additionally charged with Resisting Arrest.
On July 22nd, at approximately 1:29 AM, officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Hazzard St. and Prather Ave. A subsequent investigation revealed that 22-year-old Tessa Reed, a resident of Bemus Point, was operating the vehicle was intoxicated. Reed was charged with DWI and additional traffic violations.
On July 22nd, at approximately 9:10 AM, officers assigned to a STRIVE Domestic Violence Detail responded to a residence to execute a Temporary Extreme Risk Protection Order. While at the residence, officers located Isaiah Figueroa Torres inside with an individual who is the protected party, while there is an active Stay Away Order of Protection issued against him. Torres has been charged with Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree.
