On Friday, August 14, we’re bringing our community together for a day dedicated to giving back right here in McKean County. Volunteers from local businesses, organizations, churches, schools, and families will roll up their sleeves to complete projects that make a lasting impact throughout our community.

Whether you volunteer for an hour or the entire day, you’ll be part of something bigger, a community coming together to show what it means to LIVE UNITED.

We also invite businesses, organizations, and individuals to sponsor 814 Day of Action!

Your sponsorship helps cover project supplies and materials so our volunteers can make an even greater impact.

No gift is too small! Consider donating:

 $8.14

 $81.40

 $814

—or any amount that fits your budget. Every dollar goes directly toward supplies for our community service projects, and every donation helps make a difference.

Let’s show what the 814 is all about - neighbors helping neighbors, working side by side to build a stronger McKean County.

I am the founder of J² PRESS, a community-centered news platform dedicated to sharing meaningful stories and fostering local engagement. I launched J² PRESS in honor of my father, James Jones, whose work with Solomon's Words for the Wise reflected a deep commitment to truth, integrity, and community dialogue.

Inspired by his legacy, I created J² PRESS as a continuation of that mission—providing a space where important voices are heard and stories that matter are told. My work focuses on building connections, encouraging thoughtful conversation, and supporting the communities I serve.

Through J² PRESS, I remain committed to preserving a tradition of honest journalism while creating new opportunities for collaboration and growth.
