May 22, 2026 Update: The Interstate 80 eastbound Rest Area in Montour County is now open.

Motorists in northcentral Pennsylvania are advised that the Interstate 80 eastbound rest area in Montour County is closed for a water treatment upgrade.

Effective today, Tuesday, March 31, 2026, the closure includes the parking lot and comfort facilities. The Montour County eastbound rest area is expected to reopen in mid-May 2026.

Drivers can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,200 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
