Mount Jewett VFD Highlights Rescue UTV

The Mount Jewett Volunteer Fire Department hosted an open house on Wednesday to unveil its newest piece of rescue equipment – UTV 10.

Using a $50,000 state grant obtained with the help of Rep. Martin Causer (R-Cameron/McKean/Potter), the department purchased the new UTV with attached rescue and fire suppression equipment, along with a trailer for transporting the unit.

This equipment will enhance rescue capabilities in remote and difficult-to-reach areas in the region.
