Pennsylvania State Police Report Crashes, Theft and Drug Investigation in Warren County

WHAT HAPPENED

Pennsylvania State Police reported three crashes in Warren County. On Sept. 9, a driver traveling east on Stillwater Road in Sugar Grove Township swerved to avoid a deer and entered a ditch. The driver sustained suspected minor injuries and was transported to Warren General Hospital. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

On Sept. 8 in Mead Township, a westbound driver on Route 6 lost control, crossed the double yellow line and struck an eastbound vehicle that had stopped. No injuries were reported. On Sept. 10 in Watson Township, one vehicle struck a tree that had fallen across Route 62 and then struck another vehicle. Minor injuries were reported, and both drivers refused transport.

In Pittsfield Township on Aug. 13, a resident reported that two juvenile males attempted to steal beer from a cooler outside his residence. The reported value of the stolen property was $10. On Aug. 27 in Tidioute Borough, a person identified as Sanders was taken into custody on an unrelated arrest warrant and was found with suspected controlled substances.

POLICE INVESTIGATION

The theft investigation remains pending, and police asked anyone with information to contact PSP Warren or Warren County Crime Stoppers.

The suspected controlled substances in the Tidioute Borough incident are pending identification by a laboratory.

CHARGES

  • A driver in the Sept. 8 Route 6 crash was charged with driving on the right side of the roadway under the general rule, listed as violation 3301A.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

The theft investigation and the suspected drug-possession investigation remain ongoing. The drug-possession case is pending laboratory test results.
