Report of a Suspicious Individual Results in Arrest

On May 27th, 2026, at approximately 7:02 pm, the City of Bradford Police Department responded to a report of a suspicious individual in a neighborhood. The suspect, identified as Cory Chatmon, 27, had been seen walking through the area on multiple occasions, confronting minor female children. When a concerned citizen approached Chatmon to discuss the matter, a disturbance ensued.
According to several juvenile and adult witnesses, Chatmon threatened to obtain a firearm and return to kill the victims. City Police promptly took Chatmon into custody for making terroristic threats. During the arrest, officers found Chatmon in possession of a small amount of marijuana and related paraphernalia.
Chatmon was arraigned on charges of Terroristic Threats, Disorderly Conduct, and Possession of a Controlled Substance and Paraphernalia. Magistrate Todd set bail at $20,000, and Chatmon was remanded to McKean County Jail. Preliminary hearings are scheduled in the matter.
