Two Crashes Reported in McKean County Townships

WHAT HAPPENED
A crash occurred Sept. 15 at about 5:13 p.m. on Route 6, 691 feet east of Gifford Holw in Keating Township. Police said the driver, Edward D. Althouse, 81, of Smethport, was slowing down and overcorrected for a curve while traveling west. The 2018 Chevrolet Cruze struck an embankment and came to rest in the westbound lane. The vehicle had disabling damage, but Althouse was not injured.
Another crash occurred Sept. 13 at about 4:45 p.m. on Route 219 at its intersection with Forrest Road 317 in Hamlin Township. Police said the driver, Kishor Dhamala, 28, of Buffalo, New York, lost control while traveling south, struck an embankment and went airborne at Forrest Road 317 before coming to rest after hitting another embankment. The 2016 Honda Civic had disabling damage, and Dhamala was transported to UPMC Kane with a suspected minor injury.

Kishor Dhamala was listed as charged with driving on roadways laned for traffic — single.
