WCCA's 7 Concerts and Season and Individual Tickets will be Online Beginning This Saturday, Aug. 1

Information about each of the seven Wellsboro Community Concert Association’s 78th Season concerts will be available online at wellsborocca.org beginning this Saturday, Aug. 1. Those who purchase a season ticket will cut the cost of each concert by more than half.
Also starting Saturday, Aug. 1, people can use a credit card to order WCCA 2026-2027 season and individual concert tickets online. The concerts will be presented at 7:30 p.m. in the Coolidge Theatre at 104 Main Street in Wellsboro from September of 2026 through April of 2027.
The first concert is Saturday, Sept. 12. Featured will be the Boston-based Mari Black Trio. An award-winning multi-style violinist and champion fiddler with sparkling stage presence, Black will be joined by a guitarist and upright bassist. She takes her audiences on a spirited musical adventure celebrating tradition and exploring possibility in the dance-driven music of the Celtic regions: Scotland, Ireland, Shetland, Canada, and more.
On Saturday, Oct. 10, Actual Proof, based in Central New York and the Finger Lakes, an all-star contemporary jazz quartet celebrated for fusing traditional jazz with modern electronic and funk elements, will bring to life the electric, groove-heavy repertoires of legends like David Sanborn, The Yellowjackets, Jeff Lorber Fusion, Joe Sample, and Michael Brecker.
The four-member Tas Cru Band of Syracuse, New York will perform eclectic blues, a mix of traditional roots music, rock, country, soul and gospel, on Saturday, Nov. 21. One of the most unique bluesmen, Cru delivers 100 percent on stage with his ear catching arrangements, and skillful guitar work and vocals. Cru’s most recent full-length live album is Tas Cru Band Live (Sept. 27, 2024); his most recent studio album is Riffin' The Blue (Feb. 3, 2023); and in February 2025, he released Déjà Blu, an instrumental single.
On Friday Dec. 11, Fireside Collective, a five-member band from Asheville, North Carolina, will bring a dynamic, progressive blend of bluegrass, newgrass, folk, rock and funk to the stage. Since its start, the group has steadily built a reputation for high-energy live performances and tight, virtuosic instrumentation. Jesse Iaquinto, lead vocalist and mandolin player, has ties to both Wellsboro and Coudersport.
On Friday, Feb. 26, 2027, the four-member Tony Trischka Band, based in the New York City area, will perform songs from their Grammy-nominated album Earl Jam released in June of 2024 and from Earl Jam 2, released in March of 2026. Trischka is one of the most innovative 5-string banjo players in roots music. After acquiring rare home recordings of banjo legend Earl Scruggs jamming with John Hartford in the late 1980s and 1990s, Trischka and his all-star backing band transcribed Scruggs' obscure, unreleased banjo licks note-for-note and reimagined the old session tapes into two full-length tributes featuring guest performances from the biggest names in roots and bluegrass music. This band plays progressive and traditional bluegrass, heavily mixed with American roots, jazz, rock, and avant-garde influences.
Old Blind Dogs, a four-member band, is coming from Aberdeen, Scotland to present an unforgettable performance of historical ballads and pumping dance tunes on Saturday March 13, 2027. They have spent decades keeping roots music fresh and engaging by bridging ancient traditions with modern innovations, complete with bagpipes.
Magnolia Boulevard has captured the Americana and roots scene with the Nov. 28, 2025 release of their highly anticipated self-titled debut album that highlights their signature vibrant hybrid "Appalachian Soul” sound. On Saturday, April 17, 2027, this five-piece rock and soul band from Lexington, Kentucky will seamlessly weave raw blues, folk, classic rock and heartfelt regional storytelling into a fiery live experience, anchored by Maggie Noelle's powerhouse vocals.
Adults 19 and older can purchase a season ticket online for the seven concerts for $100 ($14.29 per concert). Individual tickets to any of the concerts are $30 apiece and will be available online beginning this Saturday.
Youngsters ages 12 and under are admitted free to the seven concerts when accompanied by a paying adult.
Student season tickets for ages 13 to 18 are $50 ($7.14 per concert). Individual student concert tickets will be available online for $8 per show starting this Saturday.
