Northern Potter Varsity Panthers With Tough Game Against Cameron County Varsity Red Raiders

Northern Potter Varsity Panthers had trouble keeping up with Cameron County Varsity Red Raiders in a 16-1 loss on Thursday at TBD.

Cameron County Varsity Red Raiders opened the scoring in the first after Isaac Grovanz doubled, scoring one run.

Kaydn Shope scored after tagging up, which helped Northern Potter Varsity Panthers tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.

In the top of the second, Cameron County Varsity Red Raiders broke up the tie when Taylon Tucker doubled, scoring one run. Then a wild pitch followed to extend the lead to 3-1.

Cameron County Varsity Red Raiders scored eight runs on five hits in the top of the third inning. Grovanz singled, scoring one run, Zeb Pearson doubled, scoring two runs, Gage Trumpie singled, scoring one run, Rogan Pearson grounded out, scoring one run, Tucker hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Cayden Trumpie was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and Grovanz drew a walk, scoring one run.

Cameron County Varsity Red Raiders scored five runs on three hits in the top of the fourth inning. Malakai Zucal drew a walk, scoring one run, Bo Pearsall drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, and Pearson singled, scoring one run.

Will Nicholas stepped on the mound first for Northern Potter Varsity Panthers. The pitcher gave up six hits and seven runs over two innings, striking out three and walking one. Pearsall stepped on the mound first for Cameron County Varsity Red Raiders. The left-handed pitcher gave up two hits and one run over four innings, striking out six and walking three.

Rees Elmadollar led Northern Potter Varsity Panthers with one run batted in. Shope and Brandon Furman each collected one hit for Northern Potter Varsity Panthers.

Cameron County Varsity Red Raiders piled up 11 hits in the game. Pearsall, Tucker, Pearson, and Grovanz each collected two hits for Cameron County Varsity Red Raiders.
