'Super drunk' ex-officer accused of assaulting cops

A Wellsboro woman allegedly took off her handcuffs, then used them to assault cops as they tried escort her into the station.

Alexis Lynn Adams, 25, described herself as "super drunk" when South Williamsport police found her outside the Southern Grill slumped over on the ground in front of her car, Officer Norman Hager said. Adams was said to be holding a glass mug, and a prescription pill bottle was later found inside the red Kia.

Adams slurred her words, could not follow directions, and admitted to taking the pills, according to Hager. She struggled to stand and held onto the car door to steady herself during an interview with police.
