District IX Playoffs Lady Terrors bounced hard in the opening round of District play today. The Golden Tide found the sweet spot and hit a whopping 19 hits as the Lady Terrors just had no answer. Striking out the side in the first inning, Otto-Eldred Baylee Francis recorded her 100th career strikeout in the Lady Terrors’ 9-2 win over visiting Smethport. Francis, a sophomore, came into the game at 97 punchout and recorded 13 on the day to give her 110 in her career. She allowed two earned runs on six hits and three walks in seven innings of work. The Oswayo Valley baseball team started the year 1-2 with loses to Cowanesque Valley and Cameron County. The Green Wave started the season on the road in Cowanesque Valley and suffered a 7-1 defeat to the defending District IV champs.
